TP Bennett bags north London BSF schemes

TP Bennett Architects has won the contract to design five secondary schools under the London Borough of Haringey’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

To be delivered by the London firm’s schools arm, bennett education, the projects will be part-funded by the government to refurbish or completely rebuild five out of the 11 schools in Haringey’s BSF scheme.

Jonathan Darke, principal director of bennett education, said: ‘We are very excited about this project and the potential to help effect education transformation within Haringey.

‘Our approach will be to bring the best ideas from across all building sectors so that we can design a school fit for the future. We have assembled a very experienced team from around the world to assist Haringey in meeting their aspirations.’

The practice will be working on Gladesmore Community Secondary School, Fortismere Foundation School, Hornsey School for Girls, Alexandra Park Community School and the yet to be named ‘Haringey New School’.
