Tower Hamlets calls for Aldgate-Stratford visionaries

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking a team to put together a ‘Vision Study and Strategy’ to encourage development from Aldgate East to Stratford along the A11/A118.

LBTH said High Street 2012 is a programme of initiatives to make the A11/A118 - a key part of the Olympic and Paralympic Marathon route – ‘an engaging public space that is a street for everyone'.

The commission will include integration of existing studies, street design and landscape strategy and the development of an implementation strategy for the projects identified.

Partnering LBTH is Design for London, London Borough of Newham, Transport for London, London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and English Heritage.
