Studio Egret West takes on base of Tower 42

Studio Egret West has revealed its plans to transform the base of London’s Tower 42 – formerly known as the NatWest Tower.

The practice was chosen ahead of Make, AHMM and Hamilton Associates for the prestige 11-storey office and retail project around the foot of the 183m-tall landmark.

Opened in 1981, the skyscraper between Bishopsgate, Threadneedle Street and Old Broad Street is the tallest in the City of London.
