SpaceMatters and Allies and Morrison shortlisted in Indian uni comp

Shortlisted Emerging Woman Architect of the Year, Amritha Ballal’s practice SpaceMatters has been shortlisted to masterplan the Nalanda University campus in India

The New Delhi-based studio has teamed up with Norwegian stars Snøhetta in a competition to masterplan and design a new campus 10 km from the ancient Nalanda University site in north east India.

Brits Allies and Morrison has also made the eight strong shortlist, teaming up with Indian practice Hundred Hands.

Nalanda University launched the architectural competition to masterplan its campus back in November 2012. International practices were urged to team up with local Indian practices for the competition.
