Roisin Heneghan to speak at upcoming AJ Women in Architecture talk

Director of Heneghan Peng Architects, Roisin Heneghan, who was shortlisted in this year’s AJ Women in Architecture Awards, will speak about how to get recognition as a female architect and on designing award-winning buildings.

The practice’s highest-profile project to date, the visitor centre at the Giant’s Causeway, was shortlisted for the 2013 Stirling Prize. 

Heneghan will be joined by director of Maggie’s and previous AJ Women in Architecture Awards judge Laura Lee, who will speak about commissioning award-winning buildings.

While AJ Emerging Architect of the Year Julia King will discuss her work. The researcher and designer’s work focuses on the future of urban development and has included housing projects in India and the improvement of the Taj East Drain.

Chaired by Sadie Morgan, director of dRMM and president of the Architectural Association, the evening talk will take place at the Zaha Hadid-designed Roca London Gallery on 2 July.
