RMJM set to build big in Moscow - image

RMJM has been given the go-ahead for this landmark 46-storey tower in Moscow.

The Stirling-Prize-winning architect has teamed up with Scottish artist Karen Forbes to produce the 'sexy and organic' building.

The tower will sit next to a Norman Foster-designed skyscraper, unveiled by the AJ in March (AJ 16.03.06), which is intended to be the highest in Europe.

RMJM's 'City Palace' tower will provide 85,000m 2of retail and leisure facilities, and the same amount of offices when built.

The building will also include a register office. The architect claimed this inspired the building's 'conceptual form'.

RMJM managing director Tony Kettle said: 'This makes both the personal and financial

investment worthwhile and expands RMJM's international presence into Eastern Europe.'
