RHWL goes for planning with Canary housing - image

RWHL has submitted a planning application for this riverside housing development in Norwich.

The practice designed the scheme to accompany the redevelopment of the stadium belonging to Norwich City Football Club, known as the Canaries.

The project includes new-build riverside apartments, along with the refurbishment of an existing factory building.

It will also feature a comprehensive public-realm strategy of pedestrian routes.

According to the architect, the project provides 'much-needed housing' at the edge of Norwich, creating a 'river gateway' for the city.

RHWL has also created two new football stands for the football club, which will provide 10,000 extra seats, and new restaurant, office and retail areas.
