Red Box wins planning in Gateshead

Newcastle-based Red Box Design Group has won detailed planning permission for a new £36 million campus for Gateshead College.

The project - which will be sited in the Baltic business quarter - will include 19,300m 2of new educational space.

College principal David Cheetham said the planning permission would allow the college to progress its development plans.

'We are delighted to have received this consent so we can press ahead with our vision to create a world-class building that will enable us to deliver the cutting edge in learning,' he said.
