RA gets verbal on design value

The Royal Academy of Arts' RA Forum is to attempt to explain the meaning of the well-used phrase 'the value of good design' at a forthcoming debate.

The event next Monday (21 February), which aims to examine the tension between monetary, social and cultural values, informs current architectural thought, practice, procurement and commissioning.

Contributions will include University College London's Graham Ive, Peter de Bolla from King's College, Cambridge, and the London School of Economics' Professor Richard Sennett.

The event will take place in the Royal Academy's Reynolds Room from 6.30-8.30pm. For information or to book, tel: 020 7300 5839.
