Pre-tax profits soar at Chetwood Associates

  • Comment
Chetwood Associates has seen its pre-tax profits almost double.

The practice, which has offices in London, Leeds and Birmingham, has recorded a jump of £65,833 in pre-tax profits seeing the firm take home £132,232 in 2006, compared to £66,399 in 2005.

Chetwoods, the company behind the famous Urban Oasis sustainable sculpture, published the impressive figures despite its turnover dropping by 20 per cent from £2.64 million to £1.65 million in the same period.

The firm has enjoyed a string of significant contract wins and completions, and the Chapel housing scheme in Southampton will see it progress further into the residential market with 174 new affordable homes.

The renovation of Brixton Underground station has been completed and the practice is also behind the vast redevelopment of West End Green in Paddington, one of the largest brownfield sites in London.
