Pascall + Watson wins go-ahead for £100m Luton Airport revamp

Aviation specialist Pascall + Watson has won planning for this £100million redevelopment of Luton Airport

The scheme includes extending the airport terminal building, increasing retail, circulation and seating areas, while imporving access.

The project, which will be carried out in three phases, also includes a new two-storey pier and a multi-storey car park.

A new parallel taxiway will be built to increase the capacity of the existing runway for an additional six million passengers a year.

The redevelopment will see the airports capacity increase from 12million to 18million by 2031.

Last year, Weston Williamson joined the race to solve the London’s aviation bottleneck with a proposal to transform Luton Airport into a four-runway hub.

The project is set to complete in 2028.
