PAD Studio submits £450,000 eco-home for planning

  • Comment

[FIRST LOOK + DRAWINGS + PROJECT DATA] PAD Studio has revealed plans for this 158m2 eco-home in East Sussex

The emerging Hampshire-based practice has designed the three-bedroom house to meet Lifetime Homes standards and the plans include a bedroom, bathroom and disabled access at ground floor level.

The project is expected to complete in 2016.

The architect’s view

The design objective has been to create a new home for our clients that is articulate yet economic in form, in keeping with the local context, that will cause minimal environmental disturbance both during construction and the life of the building. The replacement dwelling will also enable the owners to live and work from home (a home office is situated at first floor level) and to also provide accommodation for visiting relatives.
