New Architecture Centre Network head promises change

The new chair of the Architecture Centre Network, Vicky Richardson, has planned an immediate shake up of the organisation.

Richardson, current editor of design magazine Blueprint, was unveiled as the centre’s new figurehead earlier this week.

She said her first task will be to look at the ‘rebranding and renaming’ of the organisation, which co-ordinates with the Architecture Centres across the country.

Speaking about her appointment, Richardson said: ‘I join the Architecture Centre Network at an exciting time, as we reach out to a wider range of partners, with new activities and projects underway and a renaming and re-branding scheduled for early next year.’

Richardson, who studied architecture and has been a trustee of the Campaign for Drawing since 2005, is a member of the Crafts Council’s Photostore panel. She also wrote Vernacular Architecture and How Places Work.
