muf shortlisted for Pittsburgh urban design comp

muf, one of London's trendiest young practices, looks set to make it on the other side of the pond following news of its first major shortlisting in North America.

The practice is up against Suisman Urban Design of California, and Colap Architecture Design and Pentagram Design, both of New York, in a competition to come up with an urban design solution to resuscitate the North Side of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh architect Paul Rosenblatt, who helped organize the project, said: 'It's a win already because we've seen all these great ideas - it will be a greater win if we can see one of these projects completed.'

The four proposals will be on view for a month at Pittsburgh's Children's Museum before a winner is announced.
