The Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP), one of the UK's leading architecture and design practices, is expanding into South Yorkshire.
FWP, which has a varied portfolio of projects, is opening a Doncaster Office to build on the success of its £32 million redevelopment of the town's racecourse.
The company has an overall staff of 50 at its Manchester and Preston offices and is aiming to expand its operations east of the Pennines.
FWP is currently the UK's foremost architect behind the creation of new, purpose-built sports arenas and the refurbishment of existing stadia, including some of the top horse-racing venues in the country.
In Doncaster, FWP is now spearheading the creation of a £17 million four-star hotel overlooking the historic racecourse together with fabulous apartments with views looking down the home straight.
The Doncaster office, headed by Rob Hughes, is also handling the project and cost management of the £60 million new Leicester Tigers ground, creating the largest purpose built club rugby stadium in the country. Rob is already in talks with a number of major developers across Yorkshire about further regeneration projects.
David Robinson, FWP's managing partner, revealed the new Doncaster base is just the latest stage in national expansion plans that are set to lead to other office openings over the next 12 months - including a base in the South East of England.
