The bursary funds projects proposed by students and recent graduates which promote social, environmental and community improvements in the UK and overseas.
Last year’s four winners were: Asif Kahn and Julia King's refugee centre on the Thai/Burma border (pictured), awarded a £7,000 grant; a £5,000 award to Sophie Handler's research into how older people could make better use of public space in east London; £3,000 for an Architects for Aid scheme in Romania; and £1,000 to Julia Bouvy's research project into housing in Senegal.
Priority is given to applicants who are RIBA student, graduate or chartered members, and to those who are members of the ICE.
