Make brings Britain's tallest free-standing sculpture to Nottingham

Make's 60m-tall Aspire Tower was completed yesterday at the University of Nottingham’s campus.

Designed by Ken Shuttleworth, the structure takes the mantle of being Britain’s tallest free-standing sculpture.

The £800,000 tower, paid for by an anonymous benefactor, is three times taller than the Angel of the North and was built to mark the 60th anniversary of the university’s Royal Charter.
