Maccreanor Lavington submits Canning Town proposals

Maccreanor Lavington has submitted a planning application for the first phase of the regeneration of Canning Town and Custom House in East London.

The scheme, put forward for developer Countryside Properties, will provide a 649-home apartment building, 422 for private sale and 227 for affordable housing.

According to the developer, the project will offer a range of housing typologies including one- and two-bedroom apartments, to three- and four-bedroom maisonettes and houses for larger families.

The scheme is the first part of the wider £3.7 billion Canning Town and Custom House regeneration project. It is hoped that over the next 15 years more than 10,000 new and refurbished homes will be provided as well as providing more green spaces and improved town centres.
