Loop's Europan scheme remains on hold after two years

Loop Architecture’s Europan 8 housing project is still being redesigned, and has yet to go in for planning, almost two years after winning the contest

Loop Architecture’s Europan 8 housing project is still being redesigned, and has yet to go in for planning, almost two years after winning the contest, the AJ can reveal.

An application for the 150-home scheme in Oldham, part of a Pathfinder Housing Market Renewal (HMR) scheme, was expected to be submitted back in the spring (AJ 01.02.07).

But the AJ has learned it could be another 12 weeks before detailed plans are lodged, and that work is still going on to revise the original designs (pictured) which helped Loop land the prize project back in February 2006.
