Liverpool Architecture Society seeks 'the best in Merseyside'

The Liverpool Architectural Society (LAS) has put out a call for entries to its inaugural awards celebrating 'the best architecture in the Merseyside region'.

The society is looking for schemes completed in the last five years for the following categories: small projects; residential; regeneration; sustainability; conservation; sports and leisure; commercial; and community.

The judges for the awards – who include Urban Splash's Tom Bloxham, artist Ben Johnson, and AJ editor Kieran Long – will also select a Building of the Year.

All the awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Thursday 9 October at St George's Hall, Liverpool (pictured).

The closing date for entries is 4 August. For more information visit
