Leading London school designs to go on show

The Architecture Foundation is set to launch a new competition to select educational projects in the inner-London boroughs to feature in a new exhibition.

The Changing London Schools competition, supported by the AJ, will culminate in a show at BDP's Hub space during June's London Architecture Biennale.

The contest is open to UK and international architects, designers and design students with school projects either completed, in design or under construction since 2000 in inner London.

The Changing London Schools exhibition will be accompanied by workshops with school pupils.

A debate on the role of architects and designers in the changing face of education will also take place.

It is hoped that projects submitted will range in scale from 'inspiring classroom extensions and dynamic external spaces for schools, to larger-scale transformations of existing school buildings and new schools and academies'.
