Short description:
Open international landscaping design contest for design of the City Park Nedre Foss in Grünerløkka district, Oslo. The tender contest includes landscaping design of an area regulated as a public open space in the zoning plan situated along the eastern bank of the Aker River.


CRITERIA TO BE APPLIED IN THE EVALUATION OF PROJECTS:
The tender proposals will be assessed based on the following principal criteria with basis in the tender description and terms stated in the tender documents:
— Fulfilment of the goals for design of the park, chapter 4,
— The proposal’s general impression which will also include solution for relation and connection to the surrounding areas, as well as a continuous hiking path along the Aker River from south of the Grüner bridge to the Kuba bridge,
— Possibilities for usage and experiences for various users of the park,
— Intentions in connection with sustainable abilities with documentation of environmental friendly short and long-term solutions,
— Landscaping and architectural qualities,
— Financial realism and feasibility within the given budget frame,
— Selection of solutions which will provide optimal costs in a life-cycle perspective. This means that both investment costs and costs in relation to operation and maintenance are assessed.

Number and value of the prize(s) to be awarded: A total of 500 000 NOK for award and purchase are set aside. The entire amount shall be distributed by the jury, provided that minimum 10 proposals are delivered. The jury will determine the numbers of awards and the size of these within the frame. The jury can also emphasize good proposals by giving honourable mention.
