Jonathan Hendry unveils Lincolnshire village hall

Jonathan Hendry Architects has released images of this proposed £550,000 village hall in Great Coates, North East Lincolnshire.

The practice – previously Little Fish in the AJ’s weekly insight into two firms – has designed a 472m2 building that it hopes will reflect the scale of neighbouring agricultural buildings.

Split into two main blocks, the walls and roof of the entrance building will be clad in untreated Western red cedar, while the hall will boast an entirely zinc skin.

The two are joined by a single-storey, glazed element with an ‘ecological’ roof.

Subject to planning approval, Hendry hopes the project will start on site early next year.
