Jon Thompson wins planning next to royal park

Jon Thompson & Partners has won planning permission for this largely residential project in Teddington.

The mixed-use scheme, for Linden Homes South East, picked up detailed consent following a resubmission.

The project will be made up of 198 apartments, a crèche, office space and a nursing home. It will provide 40 per cent affordable housing.

The scheme - which is on a site opposite the Royal Bushy Park - was specially designed to minimise impact on the neighbouring parkland.

The practice, which has included a number of place-making measures, has also put additional emphasis on environmental concerns.

These include a low provision of parking spaces, a large amount of space for bicycles, solar-heat collectors and a recycling point.
