It could be you! RIBA on the hunt for awards judges

The RIBA has invited applications from its members for judges of their regional and national awards

The RIBA are looking for members to fill a variety of roles including shortlisters, judges, and special advisors.

Shortlisters visit all entries in one region and make recommendations as to which buildings will be put forward to the jury, whereas specialist advisors will focus on those projects which require a conservation or sustainability specialist.

The new open application process allows any RIBA member with an interest in the awards process to put themselves forward to become a judge. The RIBA said ‘becoming a judge is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development.’

The RIBA awards take place each year, celebrating the highest standards of British architecture and forming the long list for the Stirling Prize.

RIBA members wishing to be considered for the role should register interest by 3 December.
