HTA's Wembley plans go in for planning

London-based HTA Architects’ plans for a flagship mixed-use development next to Wembley Stadium in London have been submitted to Brent Council.

The proposed scheme, 5 Olympic Way, comprises a 225-bed hotel, 1,486m2 of commercial space and 195 residential units in a 24-storey high-rise.

Iain Thayne, chief executive of contractor Fleming Developments UK (FDUK), said: ‘The scheme has been designed by HTA Architects to create an exciting new urban quarter that successfully links with the wider vision for regeneration as set out in the Wembley Masterplan.’

If planning permission is granted, FDUK expects the project to complete towards the end of 2010.
