HOK unveils vast Bahrain masterplan

HOK has released these images of its 60ha masterplan for Water Garden City in Bahrain.

The scheme will develop a massive 2,200,000m2 of residential accommodation, hotels, schools and commercial, leisure and retail space.

According to HOK, it will create a community for up to 40,000 people.

HOK project manager Sherin Anminossehe said: ‘HOK is using its knowledge of the area to develop a project that not only includes large areas of business and leisure facilities, but will also offer plenty of open spaces for the city’s inhabitants, tying in with the concept of a Water Garden City.

‘The masterplan design is placing Bahrain at the forefront of modern design and helping the country gain recognition as a place that values the quality and finish of its urban spaces.’
