Gum crime

London mayor Boris Johnson convened a chewing-gum summit last week to jumpstart an attack on the gum litter estimated to cost the capital up to £10 million annually.

Astragal isn’t sure that Johnson has put his finger on the main issue facing London, but was amused by one proposal put forward: the use of special bins made of recycled gum.
