Future vision of London's West End unveiled

Central London’s New West End Company (NWEC) has revealed images of how the busy shopping area could look by 2020

The proposals, which are set to be ready in time for the 2012 Olympics, include a visitor’s pavilion designed by PLP Architecture.

The images also show a re-worked St Giles circus drawn up by Atkins, where Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross Road meet, with a diagonal crossing similar to that at Oxford Circus.

NWEC also hopes to create entertainment zones, including outdoor fashion shows across the West End.
