Fretton makes Copenhagen planning application

Tony Fretton Architects has gone for planning with this proposal for a housing and commercial building in Copenhagen.

The scheme - which is set within the Beaux-Art, Classical ensemble of historic Frederiksgade on a largely vacant site - aims to reflect and respect the surrounding architecture while still remaining a Modern design.

The project's objective is to bind together the elements of the surrounding Classical architecture and complete the street, following years of failed proposals for the site.

The scheme's ground floor will be a shop or café, the first floor a restaurant and the remaining levels will be flats and apartments.
