Foster starts on site with yet more academies - images

Foster and Partners has started on site with a brace of City Academies; including one in Slough, Berkshire (above), and one in Corby, Northamptonshire (below).

These two projects are further evidence of the profits Foster and Partners has benefited from as part of the accelerating academies programme.

The practice is understood to have academy projects littering the English educational landscape.

The Corby project will concentrate on business - like the practice's Stirling-shortlisted academy in Bexley, Kent, - while the Slough scheme will focus on the unlikely combination of science, museums, cricket, rowing and sustainability.

The designs for the schools will apparently become a manifestation of these specialities.
