Foreign Office Architects has submitted plans for the new £100 million Watermark WestQuay shopping centre in Southampton

Despite the current financial downturn, developer Hammerson has decided to press ahead with the 76,000m² leisure-led scheme which will sit next to the city’s medieval walls.

The development includes a public plaza, ‘pocket park’, 24,000m² of retail space, a residential tower housing 240 apartments, a luxury cinema, hotel and continental-style café and restaurant quarter.
