Studio Webb unveils rooftop classroom extension

Studio Webb Architects has completed this £234,000 second floor classroom extension to the L’ecole de Battersea, in south London

The 93m² lightweight steel extension on the second floor of an existing brick Victorian school block contains two classrooms divided by a corridor.

Clad in red zinc to ‘respond sympathetically’ to the adjacent church, the simple gable form is terminated with a large piece of structural glazing.
