Rising star Sandy Rendel reveals brick extension

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS] Sandy Rendel Architects has completed the renovation and extension of a mid-terrace in west London

The lower ground floor of the terrace in Earls Court Gardens has been remodelled with the addition of a small rear infill to the side of an existing two-storey extension.

Constructed from reclaimed London stock brickwork the extension contains an open plan kitchen and dining room with glazed doors that open onto the garden.

The roof of the addition is overclad in a galvanised metal grating that is set flush to the rooflights to mask the appearance of the flat roof membrane when it is viewed from the house’s upper floors.
