P+HS wins planning for Cambridge Nuffield hospital

P+HS has secured permission for this new 6,000m² healthcare building on the site of the Nuffield hospital in Cambridge

Drawn up for not-for-profit organisation Nuffield Health, the extension to the existing hospital will include inpatient and outpatient wards, three operating theatres, oncology, endoscopy, physiotherapy, diagnostics along with 33 dedicated single bedrooms with additional facilities for high dependency patients.

Following the completion of the extension the majority of the original hospital will be demolished with the retained elements refurbished to provide new staff facilities.  

The current hospital with remain open throughout the construction period.
