GUN unwraps 'Rainforest' pavilion at the AA

GUN Architects has completed this pavilion for the Architectural Association School of Architecture in Bedford Square, London

The Chilean-German architecture practice has built a five metre high tree-like structure as part of the 2014 London Festival of Architecture.

Described as an ‘oasis in the centre of London’ the pavilion is hung with pyramidal fabric ‘stalactites’, which gently drip water to create a forest-like environment.

An exhibition in the main gallery of the Architectural Association shows the conceptual evolution and technical engineering of the pavilion.

‘Rainforest’ is open to the public until 19 July 2014.
