Evans Vettori completes 'brick box' church hall extension

Matlock-based Evans Vettori Architects has completed this £350,000 extension to St Joseph’s church in Derby

Located to the north-east of the 1980s brick church, the extension contains a multi-purpose hall along with a kitchen and storage.

A new picture window on the west elevation of the hillside building allows views across Derby.

A blue brindle brick link connects the hall to the existing building and provides a fully accessible entrance and toilet facilities for both the hall and church.

The hall itself is clad with a buff facing brick to complement the existing church.
