Delvendahl Martin unwraps Bow Arts Trust HQ
Delvendahl Martin Architects has completed a headquarters and office for Bow Arts Trust in Tower Hamlets, London
The Tower Hamlets-based practice has converted the ground floor of a warehouse, next door to its own premises, to create a head office for the organisation which has workspace and galleries across east and south-east London,.
Funded by the Arts Council England, the £315,000 project provides 514m² office space accessed from an internal courtyard at Bow Arts Trust’s studio complex.
A timber canopy in this courtyard ‘frames the entrance’ to the headquarters and provides a covered space when events are taking place.
The project also includes the renovation of the trust’s Nunnery Gallery and forms part of a wider development strategy to ‘reclaim underused spaces’ at the arts charity’s east London premises.
