Claridge completes Victorian bakery refurbishment

Claridge Architects has converted a Victorian bakery in Battersea into six luxury apartments

The Victorian Bakery built around 1890 has been refurbished and extended to create six luxury apartments above two commercial units.

On the third floor a set back roof extension contains a single penthouse that has north, east and west-facing terraces accessible from the bedrooms and living room.

Sliding sash windows have been reintroduced to the original building with brickwork repairs carried out to conserve the historic facade. The renovation, which includes photovoltaic and solar energy panels, has achieved a BREEAM Very Good rating.
