Emerging Bristol-based outfit Nudge Group along with Childs and Sulzmann Partership has completed the conversion of a grade I-listed engine shed into a ‘hub for entrepreneurs’

The ‘centrepiece development’ of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone the building has been developed by SET Squared, the University of Bristol’s business incubator and Bristol City Council to provide facilities for over 60 start-up businesses.

An exhibition called ‘Ambitious City’, will also be open to the public.

Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture, described the building as ‘a brilliant transformation of a historic building’, with George Ferguson, Mayor of Bristol, adding, ‘I’m bowled over by the transformation of Brunel’s Engine Shed as Bristol and Bath City Region’s Engine for Economic recovery!’

‘It’s a great investment, a refreshing refurbishment and a brilliant first stop for those thinking of setting up shop in Bristol and beyond. Now our task is to follow through with inspirational planning around Temple Meads to transform the arrival experience into Bristol.’
