Brisac Gonzalez unwraps 'techno' storage depot

Brisac Gonzalez has completed this aluminium-clad storage depot in Aurillac, France

The £600,000 storage unit is covered with aluminium panels with 50x50 cm pyramidal forms which ‘vary in colour and shape and open in a bloom-like manner, forming cloud-like coloured images around the building’.

Behind the facade the seven metre high building is constructed from a steel structure infilled with prefabricated concrete panels.

To avoid cold bridging the building’s insulation is placed on the outside of the structure with 5m high doors that allow forklifts access to the storage space.
