Firm in legal row over 'negligence' claim

Surrey-based practice John Simpson Associates is facing a £300,000 legal battle after being accused of negligence by a private client.

The firm is being sued for damages by clients Jamie and Fiona Denholm, who are demanding compensation for what they claim was negligence and breach of contract over the construction of their home.

The RIBA-registered firm, not to be confused with leading Classicist practice John Simpson and Partners, has worked out of Haslemere since setting up in 1991.

The office specialises in private residential projects, as well as small commercial projects for the local authority.

The writ, on behalf of Mr and Mrs Denholm, was issued by Colemans Solicitors, also based in Surrey.
