Fifteen-year-old design prodigy secures sponsorship

A 15-year-old GCSE student is working with Salford-based regeneration company Urban Vision, after showing an ‘amazing’ natural talent during a week-long work placement.

Matthew Browlowski from Moorhead High School in Salford is now working with a team of architects once a week to develop his design skills after wowing Urban Vision director of design Richard Dinsdale.

Dinsdale described discovering Matt’s 'raw talent for design' as a 'one of those spine-tingling moments', and added: ‘At first I could not believe that the work he was producing could possibly be of his own creation – it was amazing.’

After discussions with Browlowski’s parents and teachers, it was decided that Urban Vision would sponsor Browlowski, and it is now taking care of his tuition fees and any costs for books and supplies – as long as he maintains his grades.

Dinsdale said: ‘This sponsorship arrangement is important to us, and we are proud to support and empower this young man, who may not otherwise receive such opportunities.’
