Evans Vettori wins planning for Nottingham Trent teaching block

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS] Evans Vettori has won planning for a new teaching block at Nottingham Trent University

The scheme is the latest in a series of projects the practice is overseeing for the university. Earlier this year the Matlock-based firm won planning for a £7million pavilion at the Clifton Campus which started on site earlier this month (AJ 03.02.14).

Designed to complement the pavilion building - the centrepiece if the university’s new ‘Heart of the Campus’ project - the teaching block will house flexible classrooms and lecture spaces.

The layout of the two new buildings will create a triangular plaza defined by a colonnade.

The campus redevelopment project also includes the refurbishment of the existing refectory adjoining the new pavilion building and the upgrade of the university’s library facilities.

The scheme is set to complete in September 2015.
