Educational charity masterplan up for grabs

The RIBA has announced the launch of a new masterplanning competition for an educational charity.

Expressions of interest have been invited for the contest to find a practice to masterplan the famous Pestalozzi International Village (PIV) in Sedlescombe, East Sussex.

The PIV is an educational charity, founded in 1957 and based on a 71ha estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The PIV trustees have now decided on 'a major renovation and renewal of their estate' to meet their requirements in the 21st century.

From the initial expressions, up to six practices will be invited to take part in a competitive interview. For further information, call the RIBA Competitions Office on 0113 2341335.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 19 January 2006.
