Don't miss it: What is the future of architectural education?
The Centre for Alternative Technology is set to host a Spring gathering to debate the future of architectural education
Aimed at Part 1, 2 and 3 students, the event, being held in collaboration with the Architecture Students Network (ASN), is taking place between the 15 and 16 March 2014, and will discuss changes to the education system and the new incoming EU directive.
The weekend conference entitled ‘Lines Drawn’ will ask whether part 1, 2 and 3 should be scrapped, what emphasis there should be on professional practice and what the new EU directive might mean for architectural education in the UK.
Will Hunter, executive editor of AJ sister title the Architectural Review, Guardian architecture correspondent Oliver Wainwright, and head of Portsmouth School of Architecture Pam Cole, will take part in an open panel discussion on the Saturday evening.
