Denton Corker Marshall lands latest permission for Spinningfields - images

Denton Corker Marshall has won planning approval for this latest addition to the Spinningfields development in Manchester.

Located next to the Civil Justice Centre, designed by the same architect, the new building will provide 15,000m 2of office and retail space.

A practice spokesperson said that it has designed three narrow vertical blocks to 'give a sense of dynamism and movement to the otherwise simple form'.

It was claimed that the new building made reference to the existing Justice Centre more through its 'surface pattern' than its 'rectilinear form'.

Denton Corker Marshall UK director Stephen Quinlan said: 'We are delighted to be adding to the urban composition we started with the design of the Civil Justice Centre.'
