Danes Schmidt Hammer Lassen to build London learning centre

Danish practice Schmidt Hammer Lassen (SHL) has been given the go-ahead for this £93 million further education building in Paddington Green, west London.

The scheme, which will become the headquarters for the City of Westminster College, is being billed as a ‘state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility’.

At the heart of the development is a large ‘light-filled’ inner atrium, wrapped with ‘galleried space’.

Academic and practical teaching facilities will lead of this central hub – as will an open learning centre, meeting rooms, administrative accommodation and flexible seminar spaces.
