ORMS has just received planning permission for this £5 million scheme in the heart of London's Leicester Square.
The mixed-use scheme, for developer Electra Holdings, will sit among a sea of gaudy neon lights on the corner of Bear Street and Coventry Street.
The seven-storey building will have restaurants on the ground and basement level, while the remaining floors will be residential.
Senior ORMS designer Gavin Hutchison said the scheme marked an important stage in Westminster Council's pledge to revamp the Leicester Square area. He said: 'It's the first new-build in the area for years.'
Hutchison said he expected the building, which will have neon theatre and cinema advertising down its leading edge, to be completed in 2010.
