New-look St Pancras opens its doors to Europe

Arup's £800 million refurbishment and redevelopment of St Pancras Station in King's Cross, London, has opened its doors to the public.
Eurostar has begun its operations at the Grade I-listed station following 13 years at Waterloo International.
The first passenger service set off for Brussels at 11:01 this morning bringing an end to six years of restoration work by a consortium led by multi-disciplinary consultants Arup.
Chapman Taylor Architects designed much of the new retail and ticketing areas located on the ground floor, once used as a beer warehouse.
The move followed an announcement last week that Grimshaw Architects' Waterloo International would stand empty for more than a year, while measures are taken to redesign the platforms to make them suitable for domestic trains.
